Puppet Time

Today, to mix it up a little bit, I brought in a stage, which made Anja immediately ask if we could make puppets. When I said yes, Niki officially called it “Puppet Time”, so we dove right in. Teddy enjoyed making the same person with different expressions, which let him switch between the person’s feelings easily. (Timo appreciated that during one of the other plays, as he observed that the person must still be sad from their frown). Max did a similar technique, but instead had the same person at three different ages, which made for a very interesting play. Gia decided that she would make a bunch of characters, play with them for awhile, and use the storyboard to record the story she liked the most. Tove decided that she wanted to create a background, instead of just using the curtain, while Yianni enjoyed using the sides and top of the curtain to represent different rooms. Juniper had her characters ‘leap’ into the audience at the end, which was pretty silly. Once the plays started, it was a pretty exciting time, with Paolo being intrigued why the best friends were fighting, and Rebecca being terrified when the puppies went to jail. What an exciting time! Have a great 3-day weekend everyone!
